After one hundred years of bleeding, flopping, flipping, embossing, matching, ganging, scoring, stamping, stripping, transferring, one-upping, knocking out and trapping...It's time to stop the presses for an evening of revelry!

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Käthe (Kay-TAH) Spiro-Bentzel has been writing for food and fun since she was eight years old. After studying Radio and Television and Criminal Justice at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., Käthe pursued her longtime dream to be a professional writer at one of the nation’s most innovative educational production companies, Cerebellum Corporation. Scriptwriting several best-selling educational videos.

The growing world of Web Development provided Käthe with her next vocation. She has provided creative direction, design, content development and project management for many recognized national brands. As the Creative Director of a Philadelphia interactive and traditional advertising agency, Käthe helped build meaningful campaigns for both traditional and Dot Com businesses. Within 5 years, she began freelancing in the field, allowing her to simultaneously focus more on her creative writing.

Käthe has received the Pepperpot Award from the Public Relations Society of America for copywriting, content development and design of an internationally acclaimed children's Web site. The honor of a Telly Award was bestowed for her scriptwriting at Cerebellum.

In 2003, Käthe published her first novel, The Sister Year. In the spring of 2004, she finished her second novel, The Forgotten Ocean. Today, living in her hometown of Philadelphia, with her husband, photographer Sharon Anchel, Käthe is working on her third novel and continuing her Web Development business. When she is not writing and designing, she is trying her best to keep up with her daughter, Maya Grace -- the very beautiful and blessed reason why mommy writes...
